About Promotion Soleil Inc

Promotion Soleil Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded on August 27, 2020, by Class of 1989 Alumni of Collège Canado-Haïtien. Rooted in the values we received from our education, we launched this initiative to give other children the same chance to learn and succeed.

Although Promotion Soleil began with the dedication of the Canado Class of 1989, the organization is open to everyone who shares the mission of building a better world through community support and education. Our work welcomes partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters from all backgrounds, united by a commitment to help children access education and brighter futures.

With a global spirit and a local heart, Promotion Soleil began its journey in Haiti, yet our purpose extends far beyond any single border. We believe that uplifting one community contributes to uplifting the world—and that every act of support creates a ripple effect capable of reaching across nations.

Since our founding, we have committed ourselves to transforming lives through education. We have already supported two elementary schools in Haiti: Sainte Monique Elementary School in Carrefour, and Notre Dame de Lourdes Elementary School in Gros-Saut, Léogâne. These early projects strengthened our conviction that education is not only a pathway to opportunity but also a powerful force for long-term community development.

Today, our primary focus is the reconstruction of Notre Dame de Lourdes Elementary School, a school destroyed during Haiti’s catastrophic 2010 earthquake—a tragedy whose impact still burdens families more than a decade later. The village of Gros-Saut is so remote that even motorcycles cannot reach the school, yet children walk the difficult terrain each day with unwavering determination. Their resilience inspires our mission and fuels our commitment to create meaningful, lasting change.

While our work began in Haiti, our vision is global. Promotion Soleil is building a model of hope, community partnership, and educational empowerment that can be replicated anywhere children need support. Our goal is to create a worldwide movement where people come together to rebuild schools, strengthen communities, and expand opportunities for future generations.

Our mission is to provide a helping hand by combining our resources to enhance the quality of life for the less fortunate in our community and abroad. Through education, community programs, and collective action, we aim to uplift individuals and strengthen communities worldwide.

Promotion Soleil envisions a future where education becomes the foundation for progress—especially in disadvantaged communities—where schools are places of hope, teachers are empowered, and children can dream without limits.

Our vision is a world uplifted by collective action, where every contribution sparks lasting change and every community shines brighter because we choose to invest in its children — wherever they may be.
